Dear IACC Colleague
 
I am pleased to invite you to a meeting of IACC members in the UK on Tuesday 8th November, 12 noon to 3.30pm.
 
Our meeting will take place in the iconic Swiss Re Building, otherwise known as The Gherkin, kindly sponsored by Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC).We have two great speakers lined up to deliver valuable insights, ideas and trends in the globalmeetings
industry today.
 
On behalf of IACC’s representative board, Kay England, Gill Smillie and myself, we hope
that you will be able to join us for this meeting, which is organised free of charge by IACC.
It is a precursor to the IACC European AGM and Conference that takes place in Barcelona
on the 28th November, ahead of the EIBTM exhibition. (More information on this and the
opportunities available to you will be sent out shortly).
 
The format for the afternoon is:
  • 12 noon -- Networking lunch
  • 1.00 pm  -- Welcome and introduction by IACC and introduction by Roger Barr, CSC
  • 1.15 pm -- Tour of CSC including the breathtaking 360-degree views on the 39th floor
  • 1.45 pm -- Presentation by Bridget Baker (Bridget Baker Consulting) covering market trends
  • 2.30 pm -- Refreshment break
  • 2.45 pm -- Presentation by David Russell (The Russell Partnership) Strategic Planning for Major Events’. David is involved in catering arrangements for the London Olympics.
  • 3.30 pm Meeting finishes
We are pleased to offer places to all IACC members and hope you can join us for this event.
Places are limited to 20, so please email your attendance to Gill Smillie as soon as
possible indicating how many places you would like and the names of those attending. The
registration deadline date is the 14th October. Should demand outstrip supply, we will
guarantee at least one place to each member first and then accept further names until the
event becomes fully booked.
